Sissi's ultrasound

Sissi the Cairn Terrier visited our clinic because her owner wanted to confirm she was pregnant. Using the clinic’s ultrasound Dr Raj Wicks was able to examine her.

Sissi was mated four weeks previous to her visit to the clinic and her owner wanted to see if the mating was successful. Sissi was admitted into hospital and given a light sedation to make her comfortable.

While Nurse Janelle laid Sissi on her back and cuddled her, Dr Raj ultrasonically examined Sissi’s abdomen. Much to our delight the ultrasound confirmed she was pregnant.

On the 27th September Sissi delivered 6 puppies. Mother and babies are doing well.
